EPF is truly representative of European patient associations as its Full Members have to be European disease-specific patients associations representing the views of their national member associations and/or national coalitions of patients organisations.
EPF reaches the grass-roots of the European patient associations and thus represents the views of an estimated 150 millions of European patients across the 27 Member States, disregarding their disease, social status or gender. Thereby, EPF gets the first hand of patient experience on the various implications of the disease or illness (mobility, intellectual and medical dysfunctions, etc).
EPF represents also the views of families and carers of patients who cannot speak for themselves because of their condition.
