We are active in a number of policy areas and monitor new developments to ensure that the patient perspective is incorporated into the EU policy agenda. We participate in the Commission’s consultations and provide input on a regular basis on key patient issues. We are an active partner with the European Commission and European Parliament and much of our work is being carried out with Member State governmentsand before Health Council meetings.
In 2008 we successfully launched our EPF Manifesto, “150 Million Reasons to Act” campaign within the European Parliament with the support of a number of MEPs. The one year campaign represented the voice of patients all around Europe to promote equal and timely access to safe treatment and diagnosis, and to provide quality information to patients to better allow them to make sound decisions on their own care and treatment. We invite you to browse our key health policy dossiers and the work that we do within each area.
