Pharmaceutical Package

In December of 2008, the European Commission adopted a communication and three legislative proposals with the objective of ensuring that European citizens are increasingly able to benefit from a competitive industry that generates safe, innovative and accessible medicines.

EPF has been actively engaged in this legislative initiative.  In November 2009, EPF drafted its position papers on the three legislative proposals of the pharmaceutical package in consultation with its members.

In February 2010, EPF worked with Members of the Parliament in which we proposed a series of amendments on the pharmacovigilance and counterfeiting initiatives.
