EMSP - European Multiple Sclerosis Platform

Founded in 1989, the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) is firmly committed to its ultimate vision of a world without multiple sclerosis (MS). EMSP works according to a three-pillar approach to ensure that people with MS have a real voice in determining their own objectives and priorities: campaigning through advocacy and awareness-raising, collecting and sharing knowledge and expertise, encouraging research and data collection.

Type: pan-European disease-specific organisation

Disease area: Multiple Sclerosis. Multiple Sclerosis is one of the most common long-term conditions affecting the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and main cause of non-traumatic disability in young adults. MS is a neurodegenerative disease, a group of conditions that includes amongst others, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and Huntington's disease.
