EPF and EURORDIS call on payers to support access to healthcare
Together with our member Eurordis, the European Organisation for Rare Diseases, we have called on EU National Competent Authorities for Pricing & Reimbursement support to support access to healthcare.
In our joint letter we drive national authorities' attention to the need for establishing new mechanisms that would improve access to medicinal products for patients in Europe while addressing the upcoming challenges in terms of sustainability of the healthcare systems.
Our call comprises two key asks:
- To support the establishment of a table for price negotiation with a group of Member States;
- To support the scaling-up of the pilots on early dialogue between the payers and developers of medicinal products.
