From 6 to 9 June 2024, the European Elections take place. For the pre-elections period and beyond, EPF has launched a campaign that puts patients at the heart of EU politics. On this page, you find all you need to partake in our campaign, from communications materials to our Manifesto.

European Elections 2024

Between 6 and 9 June 2024, millions of people in the European Union vote for Members to represent them in the European Parliament. EPF considers this to be a key moment: MEPs take decisions that affect the daily lives of everyone, a considerable amount covering important healthcare issues that have a direct impact on patient organisations and patients' lives.

Why EPF's Elections campaign?

The European Patients' Forum strives to work towards a truly participatory, democratic, and impactful involvement of patient organisations. Our mission is to advance the interests of patients and patients’ communities by strengthening their collective impact across Europe through effective advocacy, education, empowerment, and partnership. Manifesto

EPF's Patient Organisations' Manifesto was presented for the first time at our anniversary event in April 2023, read by EPF Board and Youth Group Member Konstantina Boumaki. This roadmap for the overall patient movement in Europe in a multi-stakeholder format outlines our vision of European patient advocacy for the next 10 years and forms an important part of our Elections campaign.
