Volunteers needed to review translations of biosimilar Q&A

As you know, EPF worked with the European Commission (DG grow) last year to produce a new, revised patient's Q&A on biosimilar medicines. The document, titled "What I Need to Know about Biosimilar Medicines: Information for Patients" is available online here. It is currently available in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish.

DG Grow has now been able to commission new translations of this document to make it available for patients across the EU in their own language, and we think this is great news!

The translations have already been done by professionals. DG Grow is now asking for volunteers to review the translations. This is not to change the content – just a read-through to make sure the translation “works” in the national context and that the right terminology is used.

The languages now available are: Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Greek, Estonian, Finnish, Croatian, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Maltese, Romanian, Slovakian, Slovenian and Swedish.

The timeframe for doing the translations would be over the summer, so feedback is needed by the end of August so that the translations can be published in September.

If you or someone from your patient organisation would be interested in reviewing one of these translations, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing Kostas (kostas.aligiannis@eu-patient.eu).

Many thanks!
