About EATRIS

EATRIS-ERIC – the European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine, is an academic research infrastructure, that focuses on making drug and diagnostic development more effective and supports researchers and funders in de-risking and adding value to their high potential products in development.

About the event

The event will bring together key international stakeholders in drug development from the National Institutes of Health (United States), the European Commission and European patient organisations such as EURORDIS and the European Federation of Neurological Associations.

What is translational medicine?

"Translational medicine is the transformation of laboratory research outcomes into new ways to diagnose and treat patients to improve the health of millions of people worldwide. It takes promising biomedical innovations ‘from bench to bedside’ and bridges clinical needs from bedside to bench." (EATRIS website)
