AI Knowledge Hub
Welcome to the EPF Knowledge Hub on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.
Artificial Intelligence (AI), together with big data, has the potential to support and transform care delivery, bringing change to several aspects of the healthcare value chain: population health, healthcare operations and healthcare-related innovation. Reports and studies highlight a number of key areas where AI may possibly have a direct impact on the patient: self-care, prevention and wellness, triage and early diagnosis, diagnostics, clinical decision. However, there may be unrealistic expectations, challenges and a gap between innovation and health systems receptiveness and acceptance, for healthcare professionals and patients.
The AI Knowledge Hub is your source to learn more about Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, with a particular focus on the patients’ perspective. The materials made available herein this section will help patient organisations and other interested stakeholders to better engage in debates, projects and initiatives on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, both at national and European level.
In the different sections of the resource point you will be able to find:
- Information about the European Artificial Intelligence Fund;
- EPF’s work on AI, including new initiatives, such as the Understanding AI Webinar Series, and previously published policy and capacity building resources;
- External resources including key papers, reports, policy and legislative files, key events and capacity building activities.
This Knowledge Hub was made possible by the European Artificial Intelligence (A.I) Fund. The fund is hosted by the Network of European Foundations and supported by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, King Baudouin Foundation, Luminate, Mozilla, Oak Foundation, Open Society Foundations and Stiftung Mercator.
