The final conference of SmartCare will take place on 6 July 2016 in Trieste, Italy. Time to bring down the curtains and reflect on the results observed so far!

Danielle Flores, EPF Junior Project Officer, will be representing EPF at the event. Danielle had an active role in the assessment of integrated care at local level, conducting site visits to the various regions throughout the course of the project.

For more than three years, EPF has been part of this project covering 23 regions, working with a total of 42 partner organisations. The SmartCare consortium has worked towards making ICT-supported integrated care a reality across the EU. As this project comes to an end and the key decisions about the mainstreaming of innovative services are being taken, the time has come to share the results of the project and to discuss them in the wider context of care integration.

The conference will reveal the results of the evaluation of the SmartCare services, piloted in nine European regions, and the lessons learned by the people developing, implementing, and operating the eCare services in the ground. The speakers will address the socio-economic and business aspects of up-scaling integrated care across the EU. The conference will also feature interim results of two current pilot projects on integrated care, BeyondSilos and CareWell.
