Valentina Strammiello Appointed Executive Director

EPF announces that Valentina Strammiello has been appointed as Executive Director of EPF by the Board, following a period in an interim role. The announcement was made during EPF’s Annual General Meeting on 18 April 2026.

Valentina has been part of the EPF team for over a decade. During this time, she has helped shape much of our strategic work, from patient-centred health technology assessment to project development, youth capacity building, and representing EPF globally.

She brings deep knowledge of the organisation and a strong commitment to patient involvement, which will be essential as EPF moves into its next chapter.

As Valentina shared:
“I am honoured by the trust placed in me and truly grateful to the EPF team for their dedication and support, especially during these unprecedented times. I’m looking forward to building on what we’ve achieved together and continuing to work with our members and partners to advance a patient-centred, inclusive, and equitable healthcare system. And to push for a more sustainable and predictable environment for patient organisations across Europe.”

As we move forward, we’re looking to continue working closely with our members and partners, and to strengthen the conditions that allow patient organisations to do their work with greater stability and impact.
