EU Elections campaign 2024

High-level policy event

On 16 October 2024, the European Patients’ Forum (EPF) will host the high-level policy event “Towards a patient-centred EU mandate: Health policy with and for patients” in Brussels, bringing together elected MEPs and representatives of our membership in a conversation about how to consolidate patient involvement in policy in the 2024-2029 EU mandate.

It will aim to build connections, set the tone, and start the work in the new European Parliament to involve patients and patient organisations at all levels of policy making.

Manifesto

EPF's Patient Organisations' Manifesto was presented for the first time at our anniversary event in April 2023, read by EPF Board and Youth Group Member Konstantina Boumaki. This roadmap for the overall patient movement in Europe in a multi-stakeholder format outlines our vision of European patient advocacy for the next 10 years and forms an important part of our Elections campaign.

EPF considers this to be a key moment: MEPs take decisions that affect the daily lives of everyone, a considerable amount covering important healthcare issues that have a direct impact on patient organisations and patients' lives.
