AMR Online Course 2025

AMR Online Course 2025: Become an advocate on AMR for your community
Empowered patients have an important role to play in the fight against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). This new online course aims to equip patient communities with the knowledge and the tools to successfully advocate on AMR.
Patients are most at risk of AMR due to a weakened immune system and/or the frequent use of antibiotics in healthcare procedures. Without effective antibiotics, immunocompromised patients like cancer patients would increasingly die of infections and routine surgery would become unsafe. In this context, an informed patient can be a gatekeeper for responsible use of antimicrobials.
This tailored online course aims to give patient organisations and patient advocates the knowledge and tools to become effective advocates. Patients have a strong advocacy role to play by telling their story and giving a face to a problem that often appears remote and hard to grasp.
